हिंदी कहानी – बुद्धिमान राजा की कहानी
बहुत समय पहले एक छोटे राज्य में एक राजा रहता था। वह केवल वीर और शक्तिशाली ही नहीं बल्कि बहुत बुद्धिमान और न्यायप्रिय भी था। उसकी पहचान पूरे इलाके में एक ऐसे शासक के रूप में थी जो हर व्यक्ति को बराबर समझता था और हर फैसले में सत्य की तलाश करता था।
राजा का सबसे बड़ा नियम था कि राज्य में कभी अन्याय न हो। वह कहता था कि न्याय ही राज्य की असली नींव है। अगर राजा खुद न्याय न करे तो जनता पर उसका शासन टिक नहीं सकता।
राजा की न्याय नीति
एक बार दो व्यापारी एक हीरे की अंगूठी को लेकर दरबार में पहुंचे। दोनों दावा कर रहे थे कि अंगूठी उनकी है। राजा ने उन्हें ध्यान से सुना और एक आसान लेकिन अनोखा उपाय निकाला।
उसने एक कटोरी दूध मंगवाई और कहा कि जो व्यक्ति इस अंगूठी को देखकर सच्चे आंसू बहा सकेगा, वही इसका असली मालिक होगा। पहले व्यापारी ने कोशिश की लेकिन असफल रहा। दूसरे की आँखों से सच्चे आंसू निकले और दूध का स्वाद भी बदल गया। राजा ने अंगूठी उसी को दे दी।
राजा की नीतियां
राजा ने तीन मुख्य सिद्धांत अपनाए थे

गरीब किसान और साहूकार
एक बार एक गरीब किसान राजा के पास आया और बोला कि साहूकार उसे झूठे कर्ज के नाम पर परेशान कर रहा है। राजा ने दोनों को जंगल में भेजा और कहा कि ध्यान लगाओ। जब वे लौटे तो किसान शांत और सच्चा लगा जबकि साहूकार घबराया हुआ था। राजा ने फैसला किसान के पक्ष में दिया।
इस तरह राजा का हर फैसला समाज को न्याय और सच्चाई की सीख देता था।
