सबसे बड़ा झूठ (Hindi Story)
एक दिन सम्राट अकबर दरबार में बैठे सोच रहे थे कि आखिर सबसे बड़ा झूठ क्या हो सकता है? उन्होंने सभी दरबारियों को बुलाकर कहा:
“जो भी दरबारी मुझे सबसे बड़ा झूठ सुनाएगा, उसे मैं इनाम दूंगा। लेकिन झूठ ऐसा होना चाहिए जिसे सुनकर लगे कि यह सच हो सकता है!”
दरबारियों की होड़ लग गई।
दरबारियों के झूठ
एक दरबारी बोला:
“मैं चाँद पर जा चुका हूँ और वहाँ राजमहल बनाया है।”
दूसरा बोला:
“मैंने एक ही दिन में पूरी पृथ्वी की सैर कर ली।”
तीसरा बोला:
“मैंने एक पेड़ देखा जो सोने के फल देता था।”
हर कोई एक से बढ़कर एक झूठ बोल रहा था। अकबर मुस्कुरा रहे थे, लेकिन उन्हें कुछ अलग चाहिए था।
बीरबल की बारी
अब बारी आई बीरबल की। बीरबल खड़े हुए और शांत स्वर में बोले:
“जहाँपनाह, सबसे बड़ा झूठ तो यही है कि ये सभी दरबारी आपसे सच्चाई बोल रहे हैं।”
पूरे दरबार में सन्नाटा छा गया।
अकबर ज़ोर से हँस पड़े और बोले:
“बीरबल, तुमने फिर से सच्चाई के साथ चतुराई मिलाकर सबसे बड़ा झूठ पकड़ा है। इनाम के असली हकदार तुम ही हो।”
नैतिक शिक्षा (Moral of the Story in Hindi)
- सच्चाई को पहचानने के लिए समझ और बुद्धि की ज़रूरत होती है।
- हर चमकती बात सच नहीं होती, और हर सरल बात झूठ नहीं होती।
- कभी-कभी झूठ को पकड़ने के लिए खुद चतुराई से झूठ का जवाब देना पड़ता है।

One day, Emperor Akbar sat in court wondering what the biggest lie could be. Curious, he asked his courtiers:
“Tell me the biggest lie you’ve ever heard. But it should be so clever that it sounds believable!”
Everyone got excited and started making outrageous claims.
The Courtiers’ Lies
One said:
“I’ve built a palace on the moon and live there every Sunday.”
Another claimed:
“I travelled around the world in a single day.”
Yet another said:
“I saw a tree that grows golden fruits.”
Each lie was funnier and more exaggerated than the last. Akbar listened but looked unimpressed.
Birbal’s Turn
Finally, it was Birbal’s turn. He stood up calmly and said:
“Your Majesty, the biggest lie is that all these courtiers are telling you the truth.”
There was silence in the court.
Suddenly, Akbar burst out laughing and said:
“Birbal, you’ve done it again! That is truly the biggest and smartest lie of them all. You deserve the prize.”

- It takes wisdom to spot the truth hidden among lies.
- Not everything that sounds grand is true.
- Sometimes, cleverness is needed to defeat clever lies.
