कृष्ण और पूतना की कहानी

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जन्म के बाद गोकुल का वातावरण दिव्यता से भर गया।
यशोदा और नंद के घर में बालकृष्ण के आगमन से आनंद छा गया था।
लेकिन मथुरा का अत्याचारी राजा कंस यह जान चुका था कि उसका संहार देवकी के आठवें पुत्र द्वारा होगा।

कंस की चाल

कंस ने यह सोचकर दैत्यों और राक्षसियों को आज्ञा दी कि वे गोकुल जाकर नवजात शिशुओं को मार डालें।
इसी षड्यंत्र के तहत दैत्यनी पूतना को भेजा गया।

पूतना का रूप बदलना

पूतना एक भयंकर राक्षसी थी, लेकिन वह मायावी भी थी। उसने अपने आप को सुंदर औरत का रूप दिया।

• उसके चेहरे पर दिव्य मुस्कान थी।
• उसकी आँखों में मातृत्व का छलकता प्रेम झलक रहा था।
• उसने गोकुलवासियों को ऐसा विश्वास दिलाया मानो वह कोई साध्वी हो।

गोकुल की स्त्रियाँ उसे देखकर धोखा खा गईं और उसे घर में प्रवेश करने दिया।

पूतना का विषभरा स्तनपान

पूतना का उद्देश्य स्पष्ट था – वह शिशु कृष्ण को अपने विषभरे दूध से मारना चाहती थी।
वह सीधे यशोदा के घर पहुँची और गोद में लेटे कृष्ण को उठा लिया।
सभी ने सोचा कि कोई साध्वी शिशु को आशीर्वाद देने आई है।

पूतना ने शिशु को अपनी गोद में लिया और उसे स्तनपान कराने लगी। उसके स्तन में घातक विष लगा था।

कृष्ण की दिव्य लीला

लेकिन यह भूल उसकी आखिरी गलती साबित हुई।
जैसे ही कृष्ण ने उसके स्तन को पकड़कर दूध पीना शुरू किया, उन्होंने केवल दूध ही नहीं, बल्कि उसकी जीवनशक्ति भी खींचनी शुरू कर दी।
पूतना छटपटाने लगी, उसका चेहरा विकृत हो गया, उसका रूप भयावह बन गया।

पूरे गोकुल ने देखा कि सुंदर स्त्री का रूप टूटकर एक विशालकाय राक्षसी का वास्तविक रूप सामने आ गया।
वह चीखते-चिल्लाते हुए धराशायी हो गई और उसका प्राण निकल गया।

पूतना का मोक्ष

पूतना का शरीर धरती पर गिरते ही गोकुल में हड़कंप मच गया। लेकिन बालक कृष्ण माँ की गोद में मुस्कुराते रहे।
ध्यान देने योग्य बात यह है कि कृष्ण ने उसे मुक्ति (मोक्ष) भी प्रदान किया।
क्योंकि चाहे वह घृणा के साथ ही क्यों न आई हो, उसने कृष्ण को माँ की तरह स्तनपान कराया था।
भगवान ने उसके इस “मातृत्व भाव” को स्वीकार किया और उसे नरक से मुक्त कर दिया।

गोकुल का उल्लास

पूतना के वध के बाद गोकुलवासियों का भय समाप्त हो गया। सभी ने समझ लिया कि यह कोई साधारण बालक नहीं है।
यशोदा और नंद के मन में अपार गर्व और प्रेम उमड़ आया।
अब गोकुल की गलियाँ बालकृष्ण की किलकारियों से गूँजने लगीं।

सीख (Moral)

• बुराई कितनी भी सुंदर रूप में क्यों न आए, सत्य उसे पहचान लेता है और नष्ट कर देता है।
• बालकृष्ण की लीला हमें सिखाती है कि भगवान अपने भक्तों की रक्षा हर स्थिति में करते हैं।
• पूतना का मोक्ष यह दर्शाता है कि भगवान करुणामय हैं और किसी भी भाव को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने देते।

The Story of Krishna and Putana

After the divine birth of Lord Krishna, joy spread across Gokul.
Mother Yashoda and Father Nanda were overjoyed, but far away in Mathura, King Kansa was restless.
He knew his death would come at the hands of Devaki’s eighth son.

Kansa’s Evil Plan

To prevent his fate, Kansa sent demons and demonesses to kill innocent infants in Gokul. Among them was the deadly demoness Putana.

Putana’s Disguise

Putana had terrifying powers, but she was also a master of disguise.
She took the form of a beautiful woman with a gentle smile and eyes full of fake motherly affection.
The innocent people of Gokul mistook her for a holy woman and allowed her into their homes.

Her Poisonous Intent

Putana entered Yashoda’s house and saw baby Krishna lying in the cradle.
Pretending to bless the child, she lifted him and began to nurse him.
But her breasts were smeared with deadly poison, meant to kill the infant.

Krishna’s Divine Response

As Putana tried to kill Krishna, the divine child revealed his true power.
Instead of being poisoned, Krishna began to suck out not just the milk but also her very life force.
Putana shrieked in agony, her disguise fell apart, and her true gigantic demonic form was revealed.

The people of Gokul were terrified to see the demoness collapse lifelessly to the ground.
But little Krishna remained safe, smiling innocently in Yashoda’s arms.

Putana’s Liberation

Despite her evil intentions, Putana unknowingly gave Krishna motherly nourishment.
Out of his infinite compassion, Krishna granted her moksha (liberation).
This shows that even a small act of devotion, even if unintentional, never goes unrewarded by the Lord.

Joy in Gokul

The death of Putana brought relief to Gokul.
The villagers realized that Krishna was no ordinary child – he was divine, destined to protect them.
From then on, the sound of Krishna’s laughter filled every heart with hope.
