दमयंती के राजा नल को चुनने से क्रोधित होकर कलियुग और द्वापर ने नल को शाप देने का संकल्प लिया। समय बीतने के साथ राजा नल पर दुर्भाग्य छाने लगा। वे जुए की लत में फँस गए और अपना सारा राज्य और वैभव हार बैठे।
वनवास और संघर्ष
राजा नल और रानी दमयंती को वन में रहना पड़ा। एक दिन राजा नल चुपचाप दमयंती को छोड़कर चले गए क्योंकि वे नहीं चाहते थे कि वह उनके साथ और दुख सहे। दमयंती ने अकेले जंगलों की यात्रा की, भयंकर कष्ट झेले, लेकिन अपने पति की खोज कभी नहीं छोड़ी।
पुनर्मिलन और पुनः राज्य प्राप्ति
राजा नल ने कुश द्वार देश में जाकर बह disguises में सेवा की। उन्होंने रथ संचालन की अपनी कला से पहचान बनाई। रानी दमयंती ने भी चालाकी से एक युक्ति रची और अंततः दोनों का पुनर्मिलन हुआ।
दमयंती की बुद्धिमता और प्रेम ने नल को पहचान लिया। बाद में राजा नल ने अपने कौशल और नीति से अपना राज्य पुनः प्राप्त किया। अंत में दोनों ने एक बार फिर राज्य को न्याय और धर्म के पथ पर अग्रसर किया।

Wandering in the forests, Nala eventually left Damayanti alone, fearing she might suffer more because of him. Damayanti, with great courage, endured her journey through the wild and set out to find her husband.

Disguised and serving another king as a charioteer, Nala’s identity remained hidden. Damayanti cleverly arranged a second swayamvara-like event to test and identify Nala. When they met again, she recognized him by his virtues and character.
Later, Nala regained his kingdom with his wisdom and chariot skills. Their reunion marked the triumph of love, sacrifice, and destiny.
