राजा और रानी की परीक्षा (Hindi Story)
बहुत समय पहले की बात है, “अमर्त्य नगर” में राजा धर्मवर्मा और रानी सतीप्रिया का राज्य था। यह जोड़ी अपने प्रेम, न्यायप्रियता और प्रजा के प्रति समर्पण के लिए जानी जाती थी। दोनों का प्रेम इतना गहरा था कि प्रजा उन्हें “एक ही आत्मा के दो शरीर” मानती थी।
लेकिन समय हर प्रेम की परीक्षा लेता है। एक दिन एक साधु महल में आया और राजा से कहा,
“यदि तुम सच में धर्मनिष्ठ हो और रानी सच्चे प्रेम की प्रतीक है, तो यह अमूल्य रत्न रानी की हथेली पर रखो, और सात दिन तक इसे छूने न दो। अगर रत्न चमकता रहे, तो वह सच्चे प्रेम की देवी है।”
रानी की कठिन परीक्षा
रानी ने बिना किसी प्रश्न के इस परीक्षा को स्वीकार किया। सात दिन और सात रातें, बिना हिले, बिना रत्न को छुए, रानी ने रत्न को अपनी हथेली पर रखा। वह उपवास में रही, प्रार्थना करती रही।
लेकिन महल की कुछ रानियों ने जलनवश राजा के कान भरे –
“देखो रानी को, वह बस दिखावा कर रही है। क्या यह प्रेम है?”
राजा का मन भी विचलित हुआ। वह रानी की परीक्षा को देखने चुपचाप गया, और देखा – रानी कांप रही थी, लेकिन रत्न अब भी चमक रहा था।
सातवें दिन का चमत्कार
सातवें दिन साधु आया और बोला,
“अब मैं इस रत्न को देखूंगा।”
जैसे ही उसने रत्न उठाया, वह स्वर्ण में बदल गया और आकाश से दिव्य आवाज़ आई –
“जहाँ प्रेम में त्याग और विश्वास होता है, वहाँ हर परीक्षा पार हो जाती है।”
राजा की आँखों में आँसू थे। उसने रानी से क्षमा माँगी और कहा,
“तुम्हारा प्रेम सच्चा है, और तुम्हारा धैर्य, इस राज्य का सबसे बड़ा रत्न है।”

The Test of the King and Queen (English Story)
Long ago, in the kingdom of Amartya, ruled King Dharmavarma and Queen Satipriya. They were known not just for their leadership, but for their deep love and devotion to each other.
One day, a wise sage visited their palace and said to the king:
“If your queen is truly devoted, let her hold this sacred gem in her palm for seven days without touching it. If it continues to shine, her love is pure.”
The Queen’s Silent Trial
Without hesitation, Queen Satipriya accepted the challenge. For seven days and nights, she held the gem on her palm — unmoved, fasting, praying silently.
Some jealous queens in the court spread rumors —
“She’s faking it! This isn’t love but pride!”
The king, torn by doubt, quietly went to observe her. He saw her trembling from fatigue, yet the gem still glowed brightly on her hand.
The Divine Result
On the seventh day, the sage returned.
He lifted the gem and it turned into gold, shining more brightly than ever before. A divine voice echoed in the sky:
“Where love is pure and trust is firm, every trial turns into light.”
The king’s eyes filled with tears. He apologized to the queen and said:
“Your patience and love are the true jewels of this kingdom.”
