In a village, there existed a temple where a highly respected saint resided. This wise figure diligently performed puja and aarti to honor the temple deity. Among the villagers, there was a young boy named Gopal, who displayed exceptional talent and excelled in his studies. On occasion, Gopal would visit the revered saint, who held him in great affection.One day, filled with curiosity, Gopal approached the saint and respectfully asked, “Baba, are deities truly real?”
Without hesitation, the revered saint responded, “Yes, my child, they are indeed real.”
Intrigued, Gopal continued his inquiry, seeking to understand the nature and purpose of deities. “What exactly do deities do?” he inquired further.
“They possess the power to do everything, my dear,” the wise saint replied. “They have the ability to grant whatever one desires.”
