वह हवेली
राजगढ़, राजस्थान के पहाड़ों के बीच बसा एक रहस्यमयी गाँव था। उस गाँव के उत्तर में एक पुरानी, टूटी-फूटी हवेली थी — सावित्री भवन। कोई वहाँ नहीं जाता था, और जो गया, वो लौटकर कुछ दिनों तक बीमार रहता।
गाँव वाले कहते थे:
“वो हवेली नहीं, एक अधूरी आत्मा की कैदगाह है।”
सावित्री कौन थी?
200 साल पहले, सावित्री एक साधारण लेकिन शिक्षित लड़की थी। उसने उस ज़माने में संस्कृत और आयुर्वेद पढ़ा था। उसका विवाह हुआ राजा उदयवर्मा से, जो ज़ालिम, क्रूर और अति-स्वार्थी था। विवाह के कुछ ही महीनों में, सावित्री को अहसास हुआ कि वह एक पिंजरे में बंद है।
राजा रोज़ नए कर लगाता और जनता से धन लूटता। जब सावित्री ने एक दिन कहा,
“धन से नहीं, सेवा से राज्य चलता है।”
तो राजा क्रोधित हो गया।
उसी रात, राजा ने गुप्त रूप से उसे जहर देकर मार डाला। लेकिन मरते समय, सावित्री ने प्रार्थना की:
“हे प्रभु, जब तक सच्चाई सामने न आए, मैं इस हवेली को नहीं छोड़ूँगी।”
आत्मा का डर नहीं, संदेश था
लोगों ने देखा:
- रात में कोई हल्की सी आवाज़ में संस्कृत श्लोक पढ़ता है।
- एक बार गाँव की बेटी कुएँ में गिर गई, लेकिन किसी अदृश्य शक्ति ने उसे बाहर धकेल दिया।
- बच्चों ने हवेली की खिड़की पर एक सफेद साड़ी में स्त्री को देखा — पर डरावनी नहीं, शांत और उदास।
गाँव में एक किंवदंती बन गई कि “यह आत्मा बुरी नहीं, सच का इंतज़ार कर रही है।”
21वीं सदी में सच्चाई की लौ
गाँव में एक पत्रकार आई — अनाया मिश्रा। उसे आत्माओं में विश्वास नहीं था, लेकिन कुछ तो उसे खींच कर लाया था। उसने हवेली का सर्वे किया, गाँव वालों से बात की, और 200 साल पुराना एक ग्रंथ खोज निकाला — जिसमें राजा उदयवर्मा के पापों का वर्णन था।
अनाया ने गाँव में सत्य कथा का मंचन करवाया। जैसे-जैसे सत्य सामने आया, हवेली के पास एक अजीब-सी शांति महसूस होने लगी।
साधु का आगमन
एक दिन एक वृद्ध संत — स्वामी अधोक्षज — गाँव आए। उन्होंने ध्यान से सब कुछ सुना और कहा:
“जहाँ सत्य को दबाया गया हो, वहाँ आत्माएं बंध जाती हैं।”
उन्होंने सावित्री की समाधि पर यज्ञ रखा और राजा के वंशज विक्रमसिंह को बुलाया। पहले तो विक्रम ने मना किया, लेकिन गाँव की एक लड़की ने कहा,
“अगर तुम माफी नहीं माँगोगे, तो एक आत्मा फिर 200 साल रोती रहेगी।”
विक्रम ने आत्मा से माफ़ी माँगी और कहा,
“मुझे मेरे पूर्वज के पापों पर शर्म है। कृपया क्षमा करें।”
उसी क्षण, हवा शांत हो गई, आकाश में इंद्रधनुष दिखा, और एक सफेद रोशनी हवेली से ऊपर उठ गई।
सावित्री को मोक्ष मिल गया था।
अंतिम संदेश
- आत्माएं अधूरी नहीं होतीं, उन्हें बस न्याय और सम्मान चाहिए।
- सच्चाई कभी नहीं छुपती — देरी होती है, लेकिन अंधकार नहीं रह सकता।
- मोक्ष केवल पूजा से नहीं, प्रायश्चित और क्षमा से भी मिलता है।
